Recensione:
La scrittrice ha rivelato che aveva bisogno di un libro diverso dopo l'ultima serie quindi ha deciso di scrivere un libro più leggero sotto alcuni temi ma che comunque rispettasse la sua firma. 
Abbiamo sempre un personaggio maschile molto forte risoluto e arrogante e una sua antagonista degna di cotanto valore ma le tematiche toccate sono più delicate. C'è molto più humour battute roventi e molte, decisamente molte, scene hot!
Ma partiamo con ordine Juditho, Jude per gli amici, è alla ricerca di un lavoro perché ha molte bollette scadute da pagare e un padre ammalato di cancro di cui occuparsi. Dopo l'ennesimo rifiuto decide di rifugiarsi in un bar per tirarsi su e qui incontra Celian che colpito da lei la abborda e dopo poche battute si ritrovano a passare la notte insieme. La mattina dopo Jude decide di fare qualcosa al di fuori del suo carattere e ruba i contanti e il portafoglio al suo amante.
Un mese dopo li ritroviamo alla sua prima riunione di lavoro e si riconoscono immediatamente.
Qualcosa scatta tra i loro sguardi e un po' tra battute sagaci e alchimia fortissima incomincia una battaglia tra di loro.
Celian non riesce a credere che la donna che lo ha derubato e poi abbandonato si trovi di fronte a lui come nuovo acquisto della rete televisiva. Vorrebbe liberarsene subito ma non riesce perché ancora il suo ricordo e sapore sono vividi nella sua memoria.

Conosceremo il mondo del giornalismo televisivo americano e della necessità di essere sempre sul pezzo come dicono loro. Conosceremo la famiglia di Celian e capiremo il vero fulcro della sua arroganza e della sua durezza ma soprattutto vedremo come la semplice ragazza che porta vestiti sciatti e sempre Converse ai suoi piede riesca sempre e senza problemi a tenere testa allo spietato Monsieur Laurent.

Ci sarà spazio per i sentimenti o sarà soltanto una storia di passione? Jude riuscirà ad affermarsi come giornalista? Non siete curiose di scoprirlo? Vi prometto che stalkererò l'autrice per averne la traduzione il prima possibile...

I was very excited for this new work.. She said that it was completely different from the last work but I did loved them so LjShen made some magic and here I am delighted to have read it.
Celian is still a powerfull man asshole and cocky and I can tell you for sure that sometimes he really believes to be God. Jude is a simple girls which only goals is to pay all his father's medical bills.
They met they made sparkles and she left with his wallet.. Now she is facing him in her first working meeting as her new boss.
He wants revenge but she is a great fighter and the battle is always inside and out his bed.
Can he be her Romeo or there is just passion? Will she became a journalist? Let's have a look at this new funny and really hot new work of the vey talented Lj Shen to find out..

I have been waiting for this book for about 1 year after I finished Scandalous and all I wanted was to know every possible detail of Roman Bane Protsenko. He was a liar a pothead and the town escort. How could it be the knight in a story? So here it comes Lj Shen. She explains us just from the beginning that the princess will save herself. And you think how could she make it? So here is the story of a young lady b is just turned twenty and so many things horrible things happened to her. Noone has stepped to her side even her parents.  But then one circustance brought to her life Bane  "her knight. That piece of the chess game that needed to be moved sooner than the others. That piece that could have saved her.."
This is a story of two damaged souls that are looking for each others to became one because sometimes all you need is a reason to change and achieve your spot of happines!

Recensione:
Questo libro come dicevo è l'epilogo di questa serie quindi cercherò di non dare troppi dettagli per evitare di spoilerare troppo le varie storie ma considerate che in ordine temporale si trova circa 6/7 anni dopo la fine di "Scandalous".
Roman "Bane" Protsenko è un personaggio di cui anche leggendo solo qualche riga in precedenza vuoi sapere di più perché ha un modo di agire come se niente lo toccasse ma è estremamente protettivo sia verso sua madre che il suo sogno.
Lo abbiamo lasciato nell'ultimo libro al liceo ora lo ritroviamo venticinquenne proprietario di un bar "Caffè Diem" di un hotel e in cerca di uno sponsor per il suo progetto di Surf City.
La città è sempre la soleggiata Todos Santos in California e lui negli ultimi anni ha fatto fiorire anche in maniera poco convenzionale il turismo sulle spiagge e la nascita di diverse attività. Vende marijuana, chiede il pizzo ai negozi della suddetta zona e ha un giro piuttosto numeroso di signore che intrattiene un po' per denaro e un po' per oliare le sue conoscenze. Sapere è potere dice  e lui è bravissimo nel gioco degli scacchi.
Jesse Carter vive rinchiusa nella sua casa dopo un tragico evento del suo passato di cui lasciatemelo dire sono colpevoli in molti, alcuni in maniera attiva altri per mancanza di aiuto nei suoi confronti.
Come dice l'autrice sin dalla dedica nel libro: (Spoiler) "In questa favola è la principessa che salva se stessa."
Vedremo diversi volti di Jesse prima dell'incidente dove è la ragazza più bella e corteggiata della scuola, il suo patrigno ricchissimo e il suo fidanzato la adora e dopo l'Incidente dove ha soltanto come amico il suo cane e una vecchia vicina di casa con l'Alzheimer. Cerca di essere invisibile al mondo e non permette a nessuno di toccarla infatti il suo soprannome è l'Intoccabile.
Qui i due mondi collidono infatti Bane ha bisogno di soldi e il patrigno di Jesse vuole farla tornare alla vita. Sei milioni di dollari per essere suo amico ma mai e dico mai toccarla! Altrimenti tutto salta e la adorata Surf City svanisce sotto un cumulo di macerie.
Non c'è mai un capitolo senza un colpo di scena e non pensate di aver capito tutto perché l'autrice è bravissima a cambiare le carte in tavola.
 Nb parliamo sempre della mamma di "Sparrow" così per dire...

"We were two lonely, fucked up souls. It made wanting Bane in my life acceptable. I wanted him to fix me  To cure me. To hold me .To make me laugh. To make the pain go away. Maybe that was the difference between Bane and all the others. I didn't want him . I needed him to remind me how to breathe.

Eravamo tutti e due due anime solitarie e danneggiate. Questo rendeva il voler Bane nella mia vita accettabile. Io volevo che mi sistemasse che mi curasse che mi stringesse che mi facesse ridere. Volevo che mandasse via la sofferenza. Forse questa era la differenza tra lui e gli altri io non volevo lui ma avevo bisogno di lui per ricordarmi di respirare.

Ho letto che per molti Bane è il libro definitivo per l'autrice ma non voglio sbilanciarmi troppo al momento. Questa donna è cresciuta tantissimo negli ultimi libri e chissà cosa sarà in grado di architettare con lo spin-off della serie sui figli degli Hot Holes.

Sono molto emozionata oggi di poter parlare di  Midnight Blue perché Lj Shen è una delle scrittrici più brave che conosca e ha definito questo libro come il suo bambino. Non vi preoccupate la mamma di “Sparrow” e “Vicious” non delude mai.

Recensione:
Quando dicevo prima che l’autrice è molto affezionata a questo romanzo è perché lei vi ha concentrato i suoi due amori: la musica e la scrittura. Per quanto mi riguarda credo che il suo maggior talento si trovi nella descrizione del carattere dei personaggi. Alex Windows, quel bel ragazzo in copertina per capirci, è un cantautore di talento che viene dai sobborghi di Londra con una famiglia alle spalle che lo considera la gallina dalle uova d’oro. Grazie alle sue doti e al suo amico Willemstad riesce a sfondare e si trasferisce a Los Angeles.
Come sempre non è tutto oro quello che luccica e nella sua vita tristemente solitaria nonostante la sua band composta da amici d’infanzia e la sua fidanzata Fallon fanno capolino sia la droga che l’alcol.
Per salvare il tour e la sua carriera la casa discografica ingaggia Indigo Bellamy come babysitter di Alex.
Il suo compito sarà di evitare che l’artista si droghi o beva di nuovo. Naturalmente Alex ha già avuto e mandato via altre “Tate “ con comportamenti ai limiti della decenza ma Indie non sarà così facile da cacciare.
Indie ha accettato questo lavoro così insolito ma pagato benissimo perché deve aiutare il fratello che si è preso cura di lei dopo la tragica morte dei genitori qualche anno prima.
Il problema di questo lavoro non saranno le situazioni incresciose in cui Alex la coinvolgerà ma la consapevolezza da parte di Blue della totale e inevitabile resa nei confronti di questo Dio del rock.
